Pest Insurance

When pests show up, logic checks out.

We found that People risk walls, furniture, and limbs in chaotic attempts to squash a bug, turning minor annoyances into major injuries.

So to save homes (and egos), we teamed up with The Bear’s Abby Elliott to launch STEM Pest Insurance — a parody campaign that reimagines pest control through the absurdly serious lens of an insurance ad.

Starring Abby as an overconfident “Pest Insurance Agent,” we built a satirical, social-first campaign that made STEM culturally relevant in a category that’s usually all fear and no fun.

Because who better to parody the overly dramatic world of insurance than a brand that protects you from bugs?

  • How It Came To Life

Abby’s hero film kicked off the campaign with a bang — a perfectly absurd parody that racked up millions of views and 100% positive sentiment within hours. Her deadpan delivery as our “Pest Insurance Agent” set the tone, turning everyday pest chaos into scroll-stopping entertainment.

From there, creators like James Henry, Bun Bae Hue, and Jennifer Mukendi took the concept viral, filing their own “claims” and extending the humor across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts. The conversation quickly spilled beyond social, with Us Weekly, AOL, Apartment Therapy, and Campaign US picking up the story — proving pest control could actually make headlines.

To close the loop, we dropped the limited-edition STEM Pest Protection Bundle on Amazon — turning parody into purchase. It sold out within two weeks.

  • Influencers

A lineup of influencers, including James Henry, Bun Bae Hue, and Jennifer Mukendi, expanded the campaign’s reach across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.
